Oscar Care Services is an iconic name, our client being Oscar, as we offer our hand and support in order to care for you. We try to make sure you feel safe, secure and comfortable under the shade of your own home. Our aim is to provide high-quality support services for vulnerable adults with enduring mental conditions, dementia, learning disabilities, and substance misuse. We cater to your personal needs as well as offering personal care. We care for adults between 18-65 years, by providing our services to your doorstep.

Domiciliary Care

Activities of daily living (ADLs) are basic self-care tasks, akin to the kinds of skills that people usually learn in early childhood. They include the following:

Feeding
Toileting
Selecting proper attire
Grooming
Maintaining continence
Bathing
Walking and transferring (such as moving from bed to wheelchair)

Floating Support

Floating Support is a service that provides housing related support to vulnerable adults (over 18 to enable them to maintain their independence in their own home. Floating support services will generally be short-term (less than 2 years) and will have the flexibility to support a person wherever they live – as distinct from accommodation based services, where support is tied to particular accommodation.

This kind of support service helps the individual to become more independent, and may mean that they can continue to live independently at home when without support it would be difficult to do so.

Personal Budget

Your personal budget/individual budget is the money you get (from the Council and other funding streams) to spend on your Self-Directed Support (SDS). This is a support that you decide and control, in other words, you control the money for support – personal budget.

Our aims to give you choice and control over how your needs are met. Under the personalization agenda, you will be in control of assessing your needs with support from social care staff and will be involved in producing a “support plan”, which covers your full range of needs. In recognizes that there are other issues in addition to medical needs that can impact on your total health and well-being.

A personalized care plan should, therefore, take into account not only your health but also your personal, family, social, economic, education, mental health, ethnic and cultural background and circumstances. It should also focus on what you want your care to achieve, for example, to help you live independently, achieve at school or return to work etc.

Sleeping Nights

Night care may be required sometimes to provide a break for you or your family for a short duration while you recover from an accident, illness or hospital stay.

With our waking nights, one of our Care Workers will come to your home for the night and remain awake and help provide whatever assistance or monitoring is needed.

With our sleep-in night service one of our Care Workers will sleep in your home during the night hours and provide you with peace of mind.

Waking Night Care

On a waking night our carers are on a call at all times during the night and are awake, alert and making certain our client is sleeping or resting or at least safe, sound and secure.

Personal Care

We can assist with your personal care, such as getting up or going to bed, having a bath, dressing, shaving or taking your medication.

We can also help with many other things, including shopping, cooking, cleaning, going with you to your medical appointments or on social outings, or just being your companion. We also offer a sleepover service, if you need us there at night.

Social Companionship

This service is most suited to people who will benefit from having companionship and support when family members and friends are unable to visit regularly. Our carers will provide company and conversation, help you keep in contact with friends and assist with social activities. We provide you and your family with the reassurance that you are being visited regularly and maintaining your normal daily routine.

Domestic Home Care

Our flexible services enable us to tackle a whole range of tasks around the house, from an annual spring clean to a regular weekly visit, freeing your time for other priorities, like relaxing with your family, meeting friends or following hobbies or interests.

Our domestic services include cleaning furniture, bathroom and kitchen appliances, floors and carpets, hovering and dusting and tidying gardens.
